TEXT Thursday - January 21st

It's such a beautiful day here in Newfoundland. We're heading out now to find a frozen pond, and do some ice-skating. I love it! The open air is so much more fun to skate in than a stadium :-)

For those of you who get winter weather, tell us what activites you enjoy this time of year.

I love sitting in the warm house beside a cozy woodstove watching it snow outside! LOL, well don't do much of that here in NC but used to enjoy that in Alaska!

"....tell us what activites you enjoy this time of year"...... scrappin of course! I am not much of a winter person, I use to be when the boys were little, I would bundle them up and out we would go. Now.... I try to get out for a brisk walk daily, but love catching up on scrap projects, because once the nice weather is here, I am outside 24/7!

Have fun.. well, if we dont have as much snow then we go quadding - otherwise we go skidooing. My dd is in Curling, and both in Skating 2x/week. Tobagganing and sometimes we slip in some ice fishing as well.
When it is really cold, we are inside and we wii while having the fireplace keeping us warm.

We love sliding, too, but we just haven't had snow this year! Two skidoos sitting out by the back door, and we can't use them :-(

I tried curling a couple of times. It's fun.

fun !! Yes, we have our sleds here too... the kids have an Artic Kitty Cat too and like to go around in it... it was either super, duper cold or no snow...

we are lucky, today we awoke with some snow and it is looking nice and white out there - need more and more... kids were out in the snow today!

What fun Carla!! I never had the ankle strength for skating but love to watch!

Since I have my GD during the week...my most active winter sport is taking a walk around the yard with her...but it is pretty big and plenty of nature to keep us busy Smile

not to forget all the tree branches we have to clean up along the way!

I would love to be able to have REAL Winter Fun! Sledding, skiing, skating, snowball fights, and making snowmen and snow Angels, all sounds like great fun!

Winter here is only like 10 degrees different than summer, so its really not winter at all! lol.
