This is how I paint my stamped images
OK, this is how I "color" in my stamped images...
First I gather up my inks and my aquapainter, and a piece of plastic. I used Stampin Up inks mostly but I've also used Versa Inks as well. My aquapainter is also from Stampin Up. But, I've seen them in craft stores. I really like my Stampin Up one though as the tip is lasting me a long time.I don't know what the other brands are like as I've never tried them.

Then I choose the paper I'm going to use for my card. Sorry this is blurry :O( but you get the idea. I can then choose my inks according to the colors that are in the patterned paper. I ALWAYS do this because I don't want to color in an image only to find out I don't have paper that will go with the colors I chose.

I dab the edge of my ink pad onto the piece of plastic.

Using the aquapainter, I get the point a little wet by squeezing the tube a little. I don't let too much water out or it will be tooooo runny on the paper! If I find there is too much water on the tip of the aquapainter, I simply rub it on the palm of my hand a bit to get some of the water off. Then I dip it onto the ink and bring it over to the stamped image and start coloring. When I need more ink, I dip it in again and continue coloring.

If I find there are light spots when I get done, I can easily add more ink . I can even add more ink where I feel there needs to be some "shade" on the image.

The aquapainter is SOOOOO EASY to clean! I rub it across the palm of my hand and the color is gone and I'm ready to use another color.

I continue this until all my image is colored in. With a very light color I go around the edge of the image just to make it "jump" a little off the paper!

Here is the completed image colored in.
