| Nope not Aida cloth. I painted this one, and took the natural look out of the cloth.....But hey whoever posts next can have this first ever attempt at the Aida, hopsack, burlap, canvas flower, and approx 2 yards of the ribbon. Maybe a few other goodies too! In appreciation for the replies!! I wouldn't recommend it for scrapbooks because I'm not sure if all the materials are acid free. |

| I guess I am not one who cares about the acid free, I use what I like. What if you didn't paint the whole thing but just painted the center of the flower. _________________ Scrappin Granny My word for 2012 is Peace

| That is great Sonya! Did you ever find any material that matches the flower yet? I looked at our local material store yesterday, and couldn't find anything that resembles what those flowers are. _________________ Happy Scrappin' Helen

| I think it is on the burlap side because it smells like burlap. _________________ Scrappin Granny My word for 2012 is Peace

| Colleen if you want these and more goodies please pm me your address, and I'll send them off this week.
Helen since Hancock fabrics didn't have burlap I'm going to try a fabric store called Mill end textiles. I know they will have it there.
Enjoy your Sunday! |

| I'm enjoying this conversation :-) After a few attempts, I'm sure someone will come up with the fabric. Can't wait to see! _________________ My BLOG - The Pursuit of Scrappyness Cooking With Carla |

| So here I am at Hancock Fabric store....I ask one of the cashiers in the black shirt if she had any burlap. She says yes and we proceed to the back of the store. They had several different tones, and one green bolt. I picked out the one most similar to the one in the picture, and in Colleens fab examples. The woman carried it up to the cutting table because I told her I needed to look at some lace. So I did a little more browsing and found the things I wanted. When I got to the counter the woman was ringing me up and she had burlap fibers all over her black shirt! I made her aware of it, and she said "no worries." But for the life of me I can't figure out how it ended up all over the back of her shirt too! This stuff is so messy!!! |
