| Yes. I'm a weather watcher. I like to know what is coming up (probabilities) so I can plan my week/days.

| Nope. Around here the weather changes quickly b/c of the mountains. Can be sunshine and warm one minute and pouring rain 15 minutes later. That's what I miss about Saskatchewan...you can see the weather coming for days.....hahahaha. |

At work I'm on the fourth floor looking out to the west so I do see what's coming. However, not being the most observant person, it's really only the big things I see and they move in fast. I don't keep track of the weather but do watch to see what might be coming up. Why? I don't know. |

| We live in the tropics in a hurricane area. And we're very close to the first evacuation area. Plus we're in a 100 year flood zone. At high tide with a 20 foot storm surge (NOT an unusual occurrence) our house would be completely under water. And while hurricane season is only June through November, there have actually been named storms in every month of the year. We are actually in the middle of a system right now that they thought yesterday was gonna go "subtropical". Thankfully it didn't and all we're getting is a lot of rain. But we have to keep a close watch on the weather all the time... Besides we get a real kick out of our local weather people. If it cools off 5 degrees in the wintertime it's a "cold front"!!! ROFL! |

That's what they did when we lived in AZ. It was hilarious! In the summer it'd go from 105 to 99 & they'd say we were having a "cold front" Seriously?!? LOL |

| Yep Stephanie! We get the BIGGEST laugh about that! It's even funnier when there's a hurricane or storm looming. First it's "the cone of possibility". Then it's "the cone of probability". The closer it gets the more ominous it gets "the cone of concern" and "THE CONE"... (The cone is the areas they think the storm will hit.) If it's bad and it's coming our way the coverage gets more and more intense. In 2005 right after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans we got hit by Hurricane Wilma. It was BAD here! But because of Katrina and Rita we never got much coverage. We lost part of our roof and didn't have power for SIX DAYS and we were the LUCKY ones! Some didn't have power for THIRTY days!!! OMG! Anyway, for several days all the news you got was 24/7 hurricane coverage... We finally had to turn it off and put some Discovery stuff on cuz we couldn't take the stress anymore! Amazingly the satellite lasted throughout the whole time except for the few hours of the actual storm. However, the cable was out for almost a month! I'm gonna miss my satellite in the next storm but we just couldn't afford it anymore..... Still the drama they put into the weather forecasts here is good for a laugh every day! |
