| I don't like to use the curly ones, as they have mercury in them. I hate to think of all those lights in our landfills, leaking out mercury :-( So, I still use regular lightbulbs. We've been finding lately, that those are burning out so quickly! It seems like every week I have a new bulb to replace. Crazy!

I use the regular ones but am slowly starting to replace them with the energy efficient ones. We had only the energy efficient ones at the last place we lived and could kick myself for not bringing them with us. They are so expensive to buy but they do save big bucks on the energy bill.

Dh does all the lightbulbs in this house. I know that we have curly ones as well as the round ones that do the same thing (so probably curly inside?) We do have some regular bulbs for "instant light" though and I have fluroscent under my kitchen counters (other than that I despise fluroscent lighting)... I mostly use my OTT lights though. Have those scattered around wherever in the house I might be.

We use mostly incandescent bulbs, but we do have a few CFLs in our home. We save the CFLs IF we use them and return them once a year when the town collects hazardous waste, we drop off our dead batteries then as well. They complain every year and say they don't want the CFLs and to put them in a paperbag and toss them in our regular garbage. So we try to only use incandescent ones, but they are harder and harder to come by.

We use the curly ones because they do last so much longer.

I've been using the CFL's for a few years now. They did help with the cost. I've been saving the burnt out ones to deliver somewhere for recycling. I've heard that some of the larger chains such as Home Depot and Canadian Tire collect them for recycling but haven't tried yet.

I like the plain old regular kind that won't be sold in the US anymore. Did you know that not ONE of the approved kinds of bulbs are made in the USA??? That really ticks me off!
