This time of year I really don't like buying bows when I know I can make them myself!

Here are a couple tutorials for you on how to make your own gift bows!!

October Afternoon

Frugal Living

Neatorama

Bows

Cupcake Liner Bow

Hope you make some for your packages!!

Thanks, Helen. I'm thinking that Frugal Living one would be awesome with comic strips!

I don't even put bow on packages anymore. I used to then and then saw them all get thrown away. If I give a special one to a friend then I use a bow. I like the October Afternoon one and bookmarked it.

So do you ladies put bows on all your Christmas presents?

I buy a cheap package of bows because I like how they look on a gift but I don't go all out because they only get ripped off and thrown out.. no one even notices them LOL

I hear ya Jackie! That is why I thought this year I would make some. I have a ton of christmas paper that I know I am not going to use.. so I think I will make some! Even cheaper than buying the cheap ones!

I don't usually use bows. I made some fabric bags YEARS ago and use those. To top them off I have some of those cheap velvet bows you can get for the Christmas tree that have twist ties on them. I use those to close the bags and miserly gather them all up at the end of gift opening time.... I make everyone "save" the bows and ribbon and put it away in my little wrapping trunk for further use... Wink
