do you consider yourself a cat or dog person ?
having both growing up , i think i'm more on the dog team. as various cats i've owned have their own personalities & i love them too, but just some were too moody for my liking LOL

100% dog person

I like "other" people's cats but am a canine fan all the way... I have two kids deathly allergic to cats and my husband DESTESTS cats so suffice it to say, I haven't had a cat in over 30 years now! LOL

Dogs.

Dog, for sure. I like kittens, but I've seen some mean and nasty cats. One of my sisters has that are bad. One hisses whenever I am near -- I'm always nervous she's gonna jump at me, and the other only likes to be petted/scratched a certain way, then she'll scratch you.

Dog for sure! Not a huge fan of the felines!

I grew up with cats and dogs outside only. I liked them equally well. When I wanted to get a pet as an adult, I was thinking about a dog. But somewhere along the way, everyone's cats seemed to come to me for attention - even their grumpy ones would settle on me and sit by me through an evening. So when I had the opportunity to get these two kittens, I took them. They are great and I wouldn't trade them for anything. Much less work than a dog and lots of personality. Once in a while I wish I had a dog to take with me on road trips. I'd probably walk more if I had a dog too.

Can I be neither? I'm not really an animal person but if I had to choose, I guess it would be dog. I can't handle cat hair.

I grew up with both as well but prefer to own cats now. Pretty much for the same reasons as Gail. When we got the kittens last year, older DS` kitten adopted me...lol.

Cat. My flatmate agrees, she misses her cats.

I'm a cat person - I guess partially because I was never permitted to have a dog when I was a kid. I think that cats are less respsonsibility than a dog... with that said, when our last kitty passed away in March of this year... I vowed there would not be another pet. We have lost both of out kitties in the past few years, and it was heart-wrenching. I'm open to a gold-fish or sea monkeys now!

Absolutely 50/50 here. We only had cats growing up though.

i had a dog and cat growing up.loved the dog.now i am definately a cat person. i hate to be licked and i have yet to meet a dog that doesn't lick . i would love to have a neighbor who had a dog i could take running with me though but all my neighbors have ankle biters.!!!!
