This photo, from all the photos taken from the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake, is the MOST amazing one I have see yet!

This little boy, was pulled out the the wreckage after over a week under the rubble! His 2 brothers and sister had died in the home that had collapsed!

But...this little boy when they pulled him out, he had the most amazing smile on his face! And his arms were stretched wide! Look at this photo:

This photo was taken by an American photographer and it makes me cry each time I look at it It truely shows the spirit of the Haitian people that is present even in the children!!

This 1 month old Baby's Mother was killed in the Earthquake but the baby did survive !!

Its wonderful to see such miracles in the midst of such tragedy

oooooh boy, just got covered again in massive shivers... Thanks for posting the pictures. I had to stop watching the news with the kids around as it was too upsetting.


i am so thrilled that the canadian gov't is matching our red cross contributions. I want to see all the bands gather tonight to raise funds as well. My Christina made me cry last night as out of nowhere she came and gathered up her money to give to me to send to haiti and then Shanae went and gathered some too. so proud of my girls.

we actually have a bunch of soaps, bath stuff (gathered from hotels and such - i get my dh to collect as i was putting into the operation child care packages, now i send to shelters.) do any of you know where i could send this box of stuff to.

Linda, I am not sure where you would send stuff like that. Have you contacted the Red Cross or Salvation Army? They may know. I know I send stuff to an orphanage that was behind the boys school all the time, but that is through a friend I have there.

i did make a couple of inquiries, but they have so much to deal with right now. Having a hard time bringing things in, i know money is better appreciated right at the moment

Such touching photos! Even amidst devastation, there are some wonderful miracles!

Wow those are beautiful photos.....the first one really makes me realize, though, how bad off they were in the first place, the older boy who is standing there helping looks starving....they had nothing to begin with and that to me is the real kicker.......breaks my heart.
