Get pics of your loved ones!!!!!

I wish we had more pics of my MIL but she HATES getting her pic taken, so anything we ever did as a family rarely has pics of it. I used to bring my camera for special occasions such as Christmas dinner, but she would rant and complain if the camera was flashing pics. So everyone just stopped taking pics if she was around. Now, she is sick and she certainly will not allow pics taken of her (and I wouldn't blame her) but the time will soon be no more to get pics of her. What pics we have now are all we have.


So, whenever possible, snap pics whenever you can!!!

Good one & so absolutely right. i remember posing my mom, and family and i have some of the very best shots from this day - of course my mom was not doing good and getting her ready took a little time, but they were family & baby pic's and so worth it. I took a bunch of candid ones just kept snapping while my mom & dad were talking (they didn't know) and i have some incredible ones from this.

I have my camera in my purse all the time (a little olympus) - and my blackberry on hand now too. For other events, i take along my other one as well.

My other - what i am trying to do, is get me in some shots too - I always take pictures. I absolutely hate how I look and of course go through that whole boy am i ever ugly point and hate my pic taken... my kids just pose!

Deanne, i hope when you get with your MIL she will have a good day and allow her pict's to be taken especially with her family!

So true, Deanne! And it's not just older people we need to be concerned with getting pics of -- we've had several young people die unexpectedly here in the past month. You never know when your time is up. Live and make every moment count!

true deanne , I have a few pics that i took of aunt linda the past summer but she didnt realize i was taking them until it was too late, I will treasure those pics forever in my heart

I'm always snapping photos... I too realized, when my mother was sick, that I needed more photos of our family. Remember too, to take individual ones sometimes too...
