Found this cool Video tutorial for a Button Necklace, and thought this might be simple enough even for non-jewellery makers.

I think it came out really pretty!

and would make a great present.

I just joined an ATC swap today, so I am getting organised for that now, and found this PDF printable which has the ATC's already marked out on an A4 page, but also has the backing information printed on them too!

So I just popped in my a4 cardstock printed them out, and sliced them up with my trimmer.

So all I have to do, is create your ATC on them and fill in the info on the back!

ENJOY:

Hi Ladies,

Just wondering if you wanted to do an ATC swap this month?

We would make an ATC for the amount of people we have and send them off to each other.

A fun challenge would to be that you have to have your initial somewhere on the front of the ATC.

If so, post your name here, and we will see how many are interested!

So far we have:

1. Lynn

2. Maggi

3. Helen

4. Linda

5. Lois

6. Wanita

7. Sonya

8. Stephanie

9. Cindy

10. Jean Marie

OK Ladies.. here are the details for our first ever ATC Swap!

The deadline to sign up is: March 10th.

You will make an ATC (all the same) for the people in the swap and mail the ATC to them so that they will recieve it before April 1st. This will give us plenty of time to get them done. The only rule for the ATC is that it have your initial on the front somewhere, other than this, anything goes.

After, April 1st, you can post your ATC that you had sent to everyone here.

Hope this ...

Ice cream in the 2 L (= about 2 quarts) tubs has been on sale all summer and we have a LOT of tubs to show for it ( as does my "tubby" waistline. LOL!)

Any ideas what we can do with those 2L/2Q Tubs?? They re cylindrical tubs (I mean round, not square...) so to me, NOT that useful for space savvy storage. I like square or rectangular containers as storage in my home.

If you altered them,. what/how would you do it?

USEFUL IDEAS?

Here are some of mine-

Just sent 45 cards out to MIL for orders from her sewing students.

1) 20 birthday cards,

2) 20 birthday cards,

and... 3) 5 all occasion note-cards!

I packaged them all up nicely with raffia, vintage tags and a TY note for each customer, plus a business card and the invoice.

Whew! Then I padded a big box (well a winter ankle-boot sized box) and cello-wrapped the cards/envies; wrapped each order in tissue... more tissue and padding and tape then DH MAILED it for me!

Woooohoooo! ...

Cardboard Bedroom! This girl only had an air matress for her friend to sleep on, and to make a spare room nook more cosy she made these cardboard cut-outs of bedroom furniture, what a neat idea!!!

I made this the other day for our dinner hosts. It's just a glass jar from the supermarket, and on top I added a paper doily which I decorated. The jar is filled with "healthy treats"; dried fruit and nuts.

Really simple to put together, and it was greatly appreciated

I like to ink the edges of the covers after distressing them by sanding.

Risky business for me as I am a messy person when it comes to ink- as u prolly heard! LOL

Here's what I do to prevent altered notebook disasters: I put scrap pieces of 8x11 CS inside the front and back covers so the ink doesn't get on the pages that come next as I rub it all over the edges of the front and back covers! Keeps everything TIDY and nice.

I don't make THAT many cards, but like today I was very happy that I happened to have a card (with NO text) lying here that I could use - we are going to a farewell party, and I have NO time to scrap with the kids home on holiday... So I pulled out this card, stuck the text on ("we will miss you"), and VOILA a card for the occasion

Its Fathers day here in the UK soon and I am completely stumped for ideas.
I have to make 3 cards this year, 1 for my dad, 1 for the FIL and one for my husband ( first fathers day).

Any tips or ideas for quick, manly cards and/or presents?
