Happy Thanksgiving Day! I am totally stuffed from all the delicious turkey dinner and desserts :-) Hope you are having a relaxing day!

Here's a challenge to work on this week:

Create a card or a layout using an handmade embellishment.

I made the ribbon flower on my layout:

We'd love to see your creations! There are three ways you can submit your project.

1. Post a direct link to your layout in the comment section of the blog.

2. Send in your layout to Sisterhood of Scrap before the end of the month. Please make sure you put "OCT12" in the subject line. This makes it so much easier for us to filter our emails and ensures that we don't miss your submission. sisterhood.of.scrap@gmail.com

3. OR post it in our Sisterhood of Scrap gallery (you will need to be registered) and then tell us that you posted in the Challenge Monday Oct 12th thread on the forum.

Each challenge completed gets your name entered for a sponsored prize.

Here is mine. I made the flowers from pp, and the ribbon strip from pp, as well as the leaves.

It's in Drumheller, Alberta at the city's tourist information centre. This new guy is much bigger than the one they've had since at least back in the 60s when I was a kid. The old guy has been moved into a park across the street from this one but he doesn't get much attention these days. We have pictures of me and my siblings by that one as kids. I wish I'd have taken a picture of him too. Hmm, I'm driving that way today. If I'm making good time, maybe I'll stop there for a photo of him, it just won't have my GD in it.

Thought it looked familiar!! I was in Drumheller in the '60's too and my Mom probably has a photo quite similar! Will have to check this out! Are you from that area? I was born and raised in Medicine Hat, and have cousins in Drumheller!

No, I'm Saskatchewan born and raised and still live here. My Dad liked to travel around so we did quite a few trips to the mountains when I was a kid. Drumheller was a regular stop. I've continued that as an adult. The photos are from a weekend camping in Drumheller with one son, his wife and daughter. I've got the pictures of gd at the little church too. It's practically a family tradition.

Being from Saskatchewan, 2 out 3 kids now live in Calgary so I go that way frequently. I'm heading out shortly - my grandaughter's 1st birthday is next week so we're having a party. I usually by-pass Drumheller when I go because it adds about a half hour to the drive even though the better highway is that way.

I'll go that way today (unless I'm really tired by that point). I'll take a picture where the dinosaur used to be by the bridge and where he is now. I'll try to get a shot with this new guy too so you can see the difference.
